Some people think he might of have been on the Autistic Spectrum/Aspergers (or it could just been drugs, but that depends on who you ask). I’m surprised the folks who want to “cure” Autism never used him as an example of why they want to “cure” it.
There are lots of people with the “disease” (myself included) who have done remarkable things and lived (almost) normal lives.

after reading this article, it made me think about two idea I had for Monkees fanfics….
1. Davy (the TV verison in the 60s) dies and the band hires Syd Barrett (who has been recently ousted by Pink Floyd) to replace him
2. One word (or it is two)…MONKEE-PEDE, no guesses what THAT’S about?
